COVID-19 Update

Regardless of where you are located during this time, JWU Health and Counseling Services is available for students. Please see below for information on how to access our services.



Medical Services

  • All students on and off campus are encouraged to call health services for appointments.
  • No walk-in appointments available at this time.
  • Services: Cold and flu like symptoms, sore throat, upper respiratory infections, UTIs, STI testing and consultations, birth control prescriptions and consultations, sexual health, skin conditions, abdominal pain, musculoskeletal injuries, burns and lacerations, mental health medications and consultations, and more.
  • Available by for telephone consults and appointments:
    Monday-Friday: 8 am - 3 pm (see below for after hours resources)

  • We will make every effort to meet student medical needs via telehealth appointments and telephone consultations. This allows us to practice social distancing and preserve medical supplies in high demand.
  • If we cannot meet your needs via telehealth, we will help direct you to the care and resources you need. Depending on your medical need and location, in some instances we may be able to provide office visits.
  • COVID-19 Information for Students Returning to Campus:
    • Health Services currently does have COVID-19 testing available if needed. If we do not have testing supplies, we will coordinate ordering a test or refer for offsite testing.
      • Call Health Services at 303-256-9448 with any of the following:
        • Failed COVID-19 symptom screen
        • Failed temperature screen
        • Any symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat, congestion
        • Concern for exposure to COVID-19
        • Questions about COVID-19 testing
        • Testing done at an offsite clinic for COVID-19 (this allows us to track COVID-19 cases in our community and assure you are receiving the care you need).
